StreamerTribe (“we”, “us”) is a free community for new and growing Twitch streamers at streamertribe.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with and what rights you have. We try to collect as little as we can.
Who is responsible for your data
StreamerTribe is the controller of the personal data described here. You can contact us about anything in this policy at [email protected].
What we collect
When you sign in with Twitch
You can browse most of StreamerTribe without an account. If you sign in, Twitch tells us your Twitch user ID, username, display name and profile picture. We do not ask for or store your email address, and we do not receive your Twitch password.
Optional permissions you choose to give
- Chat: lets you send messages from StreamerTribe to a channel’s Twitch chat as yourself.
- Growth: lets us read your follower and subscriber counts so we can show your own growth charts and weekly progress.
The access tokens for these permissions are stored encrypted. You can disconnect them from your dashboard, or revoke them at any time in your Twitch connections settings.
Discord (optional)
If you link Discord, we use Discord’s “identify” permission only. We store your Discord ID and username, the display name you choose to show, and an optional server invite link you add. Nothing else is read from your Discord account.
What you add to your profile and the community
Games you play, your stream schedule, whether you opt in to collab matches, whether you hide yourself from rankings, favourites, clips you submit and vote for, community game sign-ups, duels, event entries and the proof links you submit, feedback, ideas, bug reports and any messages you send us. Your display name, picture, games, schedule and public activity can be seen by other visitors.
Usage and technical data
We record community activity such as quest progress, daily streaming statistics for members, and basic server logs (IP address, browser type and pages requested) that are needed to run and secure the service. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers.

Who we share it with
- Twitch provides sign-in, live data and the video and chat embeds. When you allow Twitch content, Twitch receives your IP address and may set cookies. See Twitch’s privacy notice.
- Discord receives data only if you link your account. See Discord’s privacy policy.
- Hosting and security: our servers are run by Hetzner in Germany, and traffic passes through Cloudflare, which protects the site and delivers it faster.
- Email: messages to our support address are handled by Zoho Mail.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for advertising.
International transfers
Some providers above may process data outside the UK and EEA. Where they do, we rely on safeguards such as the UK and EU standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.
How long we keep it
- Your account and profile are kept while you are a member. Sign-in sessions last 7 days.
- If you delete your account or ask us to, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except what we must keep for legal or security reasons.
- Server logs are kept only for as long as needed to run and secure the service.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email [email protected] and we will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority, for example the Data Protection Commission in Ireland or the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK.
Children
StreamerTribe is not for anyone under 13, or under the age Twitch requires in your country. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies and, only with your permission, Twitch content that can set its own. Details are in our cookie policy.
Security
Connections use HTTPS, sensitive tokens are encrypted, and access to the database is restricted. No online service is perfectly secure, so please tell us at once if you think your account has been compromised.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell members on the site.
